The Gaurav Yatra taken out by the Arang Congress unit concluded on Sunday. The Gaurav Yatra commemorated the 75th Independence Day from August 9 to 14. Urban Administration Minister Dr Shivkumar Dahariya had inaugurated the Gaurav Yatra. The Congress party workers covered 121 km in the five days. Gaurav Yatra concluded with a public meeting.
Addressing the meeting, Dr Dahariya remembered the sacrifices of great freedom fighters to earn the freedom. He boasted about Congress’s contribution in freedom struggle. Dr Dahariya also hit out at the BJP Government, alleging BJP of selling the natural resources of Chhattisgarh.
BJP celebrates Aazadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav
Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Arang Mandal celebrated Aazadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav by organizing several patriotic-themed programmes.
BJP Arang Mandal organized functions at 64 booths. BJP workers carried out Har Ghar Tiranga Abhiyaan. BJP workers cleaned the statues of great personalities and hoisted the National Flag. A Prabhat Pheri was taken out and the National Flags were distributed.
They also paid homage to people lost homes and relatives at Partition Horror Remembrance Day programme. Arang Mandal president Abhishek Raja Tamboli informed that BJP will unfurl the National Flag at every square of Arang town on August 15.
On the occasion, former MLA Sanjay Dhidhi, District General Secretary Shyam Kumar Narang, senior BJP leader KK Bhardwaj, Dhruw Kumar Mirdha, Salikram Sahu, Rajesh Sahu, Ashok Chandrakar, Sandeep Jain, Lalla Sahani, Suraj Lodhi, Dilip Jalkshatri, Ganesh Sahu, Chandrashekhar Sahu, Horilal Lodhi, Vijay Agrawal, Manoj Tamboli, Sushil Jalkshatri, Ritesh Sahu, Khilesh Dhurandhar, Ishwar
Sahu, Vicky Sahu, Purnendra Mirdha, Rakesh Sonkar, Mahesh Mirdha, Balram Sahu, Horilal Pal, Chautram Pal, Ashwin Shankhn, Rajesh Lodhi, Chetan Sahu, Raman Soni, Nem Sahu, Alok Gupta, Srikant Banjare, Khubchand Sahu, Narendra Sahani, Ghanshyam Sahani, and large number of party workers were present on the occasion.
