Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said that the jawans of Police Force, Home Guard and Jail Department are fulfilling the responsibility of security of the State by doing exceptional work. Recently, in the incident of Karam dam of Dhar district, the jawans made an important contribution in vacating the villages by working with promptness. The jawans have done commendable work against Naxalites in the State. Today is a wonderful day, despite the rain during the main function of Independence Day, the jawans stood in the field with patience, courage and high spirits.
Chief Minister Chouhan was speaking at the residence office the reception and felicitation ceremony of 78 officers-employees of Police, Home Guard and Jail Department and their families, who received President’s medals for Gallantry, Distinguished Service and Meritorious Service. CM Chouhan’s wife Sadhna Singh, Director General of Police Sudhir Kumar Saxena, Special Director General of Police Milind Kanaskar, DG Home Guard Pawan Jain, DG Jail Arvind Kumar and other police officers-employees and their families were present.
Chief Minister Chouhan said that the police personnel are working in difficult circumstances while risking their lives. Land worth crores of rupees has been freed by our jawans from goons, mafia and powerful people. He said that I welcome all the medal recipients from the Police Force, Home Guards, Jail Department and their families. CM Chouhan said that police personnel, their relatives and nephews and nieces should never consider themselves alone, Mama is with you. Director General of Police Sudhir Kumar Saxena said that this medal is for your dedication towards the department and achievements. Chief Minister Chouhan has affection for the policemen and treats them like his family. Madhya Pradesh Police is dedicated day and night in the service of the public. Under the guidance of Chief Minister Chouhan, the police have faced the challenges resolutely. We have been successful in creating a fear-free environment for the society in the State.
MP Police will continue to be at the fore in creating an atmosphere of peace, harmony and accord. Special Director General of Police Milind Kanaskar proposed a vote of thanks.
