Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said that it is the resolve of the State Government that no family on the soil of the State will remain without land and without a house, no poor will be deprived of medical treatment, no meritorious student will be deprived of education due to lack of funds. No child will remain destitute, no family will be deprived of clean drinking water and no eligible beneficiary will be deprived of the benefits of government schemes. Chief Minister Chouhan appealed to the people of the state to work together with the government in these areas. He said that it is the duty of every resident of the State to save daughters, create a drug-free society, save energy, save water, plant trees and actively participate in cleanliness. He inspired the people of the state to perform these civic duties. Chief Minister Chouhan was addressing the State-level Independence Day function at Motilal Nehru Stadium, Bhopal.
Chief Minister Chouhan hoisted the flag at the State-level Independence Day function organised at Motilal Nehru Stadium. The national anthem was accompanied by the melody of the police band. Chief Minister Chouhan was given a salute by the parade. Parade Commander Assistant Commissioner of Police Bhopal, STF, Special Armed Forces North Zone and South Zone, District Police Force, Hawk Force, Government Railway Police, Special Armed Forces, Mahila Dal of District Force, Jail Department, Nagar Sena, NCC Senior Wing Girls, NCC Senior Wing Boys, contingents of the Girl Guides, Scouts and Police Bands participated. Chief Minister Chouhan presented medals awarded by the President for gallantry, distinguished service and meritorious work to the officers-employees of the Police, Home Guards and Jail Departments at the medal decoration ceremony on Independence Day.
Addressing the parade and Alankaran Samaroha amidst heavy rains, Chief Minister Chouhan said that it seems as if nature is celebrating the anniversary of independence by singing Megh Malhar. Chief Minister Chouhan said that seeing the patience, restraint and determination of the participants in the parade, it can be said with confidence that no power in the world can challenge Mother India. During the Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav, the parade was completed amidst rain on tunes played by the police band.
Chief Minister Chouhan announced to implement ‘Mukhya Mantri Jan Awas’ scheme to provide housing to the deprived homeless in the state on Independence Day. Chouhan said that no one will remain homeless in the state. Under the Mukhya Mantri Bhu-Adhikar Yojana, every person will be provided a piece of land for housing. Where necessary, housing will be provided to the poor by constructing high rise buildings. ‘Suraaj Colonies’ will be developed for the poor on about 21,000 acres of land that has been freed from the mafia. A special campaign will be launched in the State in the coming months of September-October so that no eligible person should be deprived of the poor welfare schemes run under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The PESA Act will be implemented in the state by September 18.
Chief Minister Chouhan said that in this year of Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav, activities would be conducted for a week to celebrate the foundation day of Madhya Pradesh on November 1 with joy and happiness. Chief Minister Chouhan congratulated team Madhya Pradesh for successfully facing the crisis caused by the damage to the dam of Karam Medium Irrigation Project in Dhar district. CM Chouhan said that the Team Madhya Pradesh consists of ministers, officers, public representatives and the people of the state. The way the crisis on the dam was tackled with the co-operation of the public is a classic example of disaster management. CM Chouhan, while felicitating the drivers who made way for the dam water with Pocklain machine in the dam, announced to provide Rs 2 lakh to each driver as Samman Nidhi. Chief Minister Chouhan said that in the freedom struggle that started with the Sanyasi rebellion in 1761, many Jannayaks (mass leaders) sacrificed their everything and got freedom for the country. Martyrs Chandrashekhar Azad, Bhima Nayak, Rani Durgavati, Maharani Laxmibai, Rani Avantibai and Shankarshah-Raghunath Shah sacrificed their lives on the soil of the State. Dr Hedgewar, who awakened the spirit of Swaraj on the day of Vijayadashami, dedicated his whole life to the country to free the nation from the bondage of the British. Many memories of Dr. Hedgewar are associated with Rampayli in Balaghat district. A memorial will be built in Balaghat district to make his memories everlasting.
