The intermittent rainfall in the State capital for the last four days has stopped since Tuesday night. On Wednesday morning, the clouds in the sky were also starting to clear. Ajay Shukla, a former senior meteorologist of the Meteorological Centre, said that at present, due to the absence of any effective weather system in Madhya Pradesh, the clouds have started dissipating. Because of this the rain has stopped. The weather pattern is likely to remain the same on Thursday as well. A low pressure area is going to form in the Bay of Bengal on Friday. Under its influence, rain activities will resume in the districts of Jabalpur, Shahdol divisions from Friday. From Saturday, most of the districts of the state including Bhopal may receive rain again. It rained continuously for the last two days across the State, including Bhopal. This system is being formed: At present, very low pressure is active over East Madhya Pradesh 120 km east of Jabalpur. It is very likely to weaken with a west-north-westward movement. At the same time, the Low Pressure Area is still active over Northeast Arabian Sea and adjoining South Pakistan. The Monsoon Trough extends from Jaisalmer-Guna to Balasore and Northeast Bay of Bengal across Sagar. Also, a North-South Trough is passing through Karnataka to Comorin Sea. An Offshore Trough is active from South Gujarat to Maharashtra Coast. At the same time, a Western Disturbance (winds from Pakistan) is also located in the form of a trough between the west winds of the central troposphere around Afghanistan.
