In another proud moment for Chhattisgarh, Swami Vivekananda Airport (SVA) of Raipur has been adjudged 2nd rank as best airport in India. The ranking was based on the recently concluded Airport Service Quality (ASQ) survey by Airport Council International (ACI), Montreal (Canada) for the second quarter of 2022. In the survey, SVA was adjudged 1st rank in Eastern region and 36th rank worldwide.
“The SVA received a score of 4.95 out 5 with an increase of 0.15 from the previous quarter result. The ASQ score is calculated based on the feedback received from the passengers by surveyors deployed from ACI,” said an elated Airport Director Praveen Jain. According to Jain, the high score and ranking of the airport is reflective of the quality of service and standards provided by the airport.
“The survey consists of 31 parameters, which included all facets of the airport services such as cleanliness, hygiene, courtesy and helpfulness etch,” he elaborated.
In his congratulatory message, the Airport Director encouraged all stakeholders at the airport to continue providing the best of facilities to the passengers travelling to and from SVA Raipur.
While customer satisfaction is one of the key performance objectives of AAI, improvement of passenger facilities is a continuous process. “AAI along with all stakeholders is continuously striving to meet these challenges and parameters set by domestic and international agencies. Customer Satisfaction Surveys, airport Benchmarking surveys, Passenger Suggestion Schemes are the few mechanisms to identify the expectations of airport customers and take the necessary corrective action,” he underlined. It is pertinent here to recall that the Raipur Airport in the past has also been constantly receiving accolades from the people for providing user-friendly services to the passengers and other stakeholders.
