As many as 955 people underwent medical examination on the first day of the three-day free medical camp organised to celebrate the birthday of Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel in Indoor Stadium on Sunday.
Raipur Municipal Corporation (RMC) Mayor Aijaz Dhebar, MLA Satyanarayan Sharma and MLA Kuldeep Juneja took stock of the medical camp and appreciated the works.
RMC Assistant Health Officer Dr Tripti Panigrahi said a total of 26 OPDs have been set for different diseases at the camp. Besides, there are mobile OPDs for ENT and Dental. The highest numbers of patients 350 were of ophthalmology. 100 patients underwent ECG and 15 ECO. Some serious patients also visited the camp. They were referred to bigger hospitals. On the direction of Mayor Dhebar, these serious patients will be provided free treatment under Dr Khubchand Baghel Card and other Health Schemes.
The medical camp saw crowd all day starting from 10 am to 5 pm. Patients were given token to wait for their turn. The camp also provided services like Sonography, X-ray, eye test, eco cardiography and pathology test.
Specialist doctors of kidney, hormones, radiation oncology, gastroenterology, liver transplant, cardiology, hepatology ophthalmology, and dental are giving free services at the camp. Besisde, there is also Ayurvedic and Homeopathy services available.
