Amit Shah praises Chouhan for introducing medical edn in Hindi

Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan received a pat on back from Union Home and Co-operative Minister Amit Shah for introducing medical education in Hindi in Madhya Pradesh. Shah is on a two-day visit to the State capital to participate in various programmes, especially, a Central Zonal Council meeting which the Uttar Pradesh and Chhattisgarh Chief Ministers attended virtually as they could not arrive due to heavy rains in the Madhya Pradesh capital. While addressing a gathering of educationists and scholars at Conference Hall in State Assembly on National Education Policy 2020 (NEP) in a programme ‘Vaicharik Prabodhan’ Shah said, the new National Education Policy (NEP) is dove-tailed with true spirit of ‘Bharatiyata’, the nation’s roots in such a fashion that it assimilate global perspective. The programmes was organised to mark the Birth Centenary of BJP’s patriarch Kushabhau Thakre. The NEP, Shah claimed, has gained unprecedented acceptance from the entire country.
Shah said the policy, at one hand, enriches knowledge and culture of India while on the other it is aligned with aspirations of society. The Union Home Minister. quoted Prime Minster Narendra Modi and said,
“the purpose of the New Education Policy was to develop character, empathy, courage and prepare students to deal with challenges of life. He said the education should not only for earning degrees and certificates but also to achieve global good. He said the education could enable India to reach the pinnacle of success and Indian society was looking up to us with expectations and hope to make it happen.”
He further said that the New Education Policy is an antidote the British education system particularly Macaulay’s system of education designed to colonise Indian burgeoning talents.
Addressing a galaxy of educationists and scholars, he said the policy clearly stated that robust public education system is foundation of a thriving democratic nation and the very basic purpose of the national education policy was to develop citizens who combine national pride with the spirit of Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam so that India could regain status of global knowledge superpower.
CM Shivraj Singh Chouhan also spoke on the occasion and said the state had pioneered project for comprehensive development of students through various programmes. We have started CM Rise Schools and Medhavi Chhatra yojana.” BJP State President V D Sharma was also present on the occasion. The NEP approved by the Union Cabinet in 2020 replaced the 34-year-old National Policy on Education framed in 1986 and was aimed at paving the way for transformational reforms in school and higher education systems.
