Raipur City BJP office-bearers on Monday convened a meeting to review the preparation for the proposed gherao of Chief Minister’s residence on August 24.

MLA Brijmohan Agrawal, BJP State Joint In-charge Nitin Nabin and Rajesh Munat attended the meeting presided over by District President Shrichand Sundarani. BJP leaders said the Congress government had made lofty promises in the election manifesto before coming to power. Promises like Rs 2,500 unemployment allowances and employment to 10 lakh youths have all turned out to be just lip service. Congress kept youths under delusion. To protest against this deception and misleading policy of the Congress government, over 1 lakh youths and BJP workers will be gathering for protest. Nitin Nabin said Raipur District BJP office-bearers, Corporators and Mandal Presidents have been assigned the responsibilities to make different arrangements. A ‘Halla Bol’ rath was flagged-off in the morning to inform people about the failure of Bhupesh Baghel Government and to appeal youths to come together with BJP to raise voice against the government. In this regard Rajesh Munat also held a meeting of 200 Mandal and booth level party workers in Raipur West constituency. Munat has set the target to arrange at least 5,000 protestors. The meeting was attended by MP Sunil Soni, MLA Brijmohan Agrawal, State General Secretary Bhupendra Sawanni, and others.
