Most government offices at Indravati Bhawan remained closed as the government employees participated overwhelmingly in the strike. Offices at Raipur Collectorate also were closed and official works have been badly affected due to the strike.

However, the State government recently announced to give 28 per cent Dearness Allowance by hiking six per cent dearness allowance. Meanwhile, Chhattisgarh Shaley Shikshak Sangh Secretary Dharmesh Sharma said that three teachers unions have not extended their support to the strike. Higher Secondary and High Schools are totally open in the state. Teaching works have been affected at Primary Schools in some parts of State. Karmachari Adhikari Federation Spokesman Sanjay Tiwari also informed that the Karmachari Adhikari Federation has not extended their support to the indefinite strike of the CKAF. CG Mantralayin Karmachari Sangh President Mahendra Singh Rajput said that the Mantralaya employees are not participating in the strike. Talking to mediapersons at Swami Vivekananda Airport Raipur, Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel said that the State government has already announced to give six per dearness allowance to the employees. Even after that, some government employees’ unions have gone on indefinite strike and various employees’ unions are not participating in the strike. The State Government employees are getting the benefits of half electricity bill scheme, ration and other schemes, he added. If these employees unions will be on strike, the State Government will take its own decision. No decision will be taken under pressure. The decision will be taken according to the financial condition of State, Baghel said. A leader of the employees’ union told ‘The Hitavada’, “This strike call by some leaders of the employees’ union is the result of internal conflict among the union leaders. It’s a clear fight for dominance over the state government employees unions. No such situation has emerged in the state compelling employees to go on an indefinite strike.”
