The government officials and employees of the district went on indefinite strike from Monday, demanding 34 percent dearness allowance and house rent allowance in the seventh pay scale from the due date on the same basis as the center.
The work in the offices of government departments was stalled on the first day as they went on strike. Due to which a situation of confusion was created among the people who reached the government or corporation offices for their work. Especially the people who reached the office of Education, Health, Corporation, Tehsil, Collectorate were upset due to lack of work.
Striking government officers-employees gathered in front of Hindi Bhawan under the banner of Chhattisgarh Employees-Officers Federation on Monday, the first day of the strike. Here they sat on a dharna and expressed their anger against the policies of the state government. During this, President of Autonomous Employees Union Shiv Sharma, General Secretary Anil Singh, State Vice President Durgesh Gupta and employees and officers were present. The employees also raised slogans to fulfill the demand. Essential daily work like cleanliness and water supply will not be interrupted. The responsibility of work was given to the employees working under placement a day earlier.
