State Congress Chief Mohan Markam has raised questions on the BJP’s proposed protest over unemployment and
corruption issues in the State Capital on Thursday.
In his statement, Mohan Markam alleged that BJP is playing the gimmick of the protest to cross its sinking boat (Nayya) in Chhattisgarh. Both issues and the morality of the BJP’s protest are questionable, he added. If there is any morality left among the BJP leaders, then they should answer the 10 questions of the youth of Chhattisgarh and the country regarding the BJP government at the Centre and the previous Dr Raman Singh government, Marakm said.
In Chhattisgarh, when the BJP was in power, the unemployment rate was 22 percent, while the unemployment rate of State is 0.78% under the Congress rule.
This data shows that the Congress government is top in the country in providing employment to the youth. Why does the BJP launches the agitation in the state where there is lowest unemployment rate, the State Congress Chief questioned. The BJP is habitually spreading rumours and there is no mention of unemployment allowance anywhere in the Congress’ manifesto in the 2018 assembly election. The BJP is spreading confusion among the youth in the name of unemployment allowance, he added. State Congress Chief Markam said that Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel government does what it says. It is the character of BJP to break promises by making promises to the public, he added.
