A fire broke-out in a flour mill located at Karond Galla Mandi in the State capital on Wednesday morning. Due to the jute gunny-bags stored in the mill, the fire became fierce, which took an hour to extinguish. Due to the fire, thousands of gunny bags including flour, wheat, and machines were also burnt to ashes. The loss of lakhs of rupees has been reported due to the fire.
According to reports, there is a flour factory of trader Satish Jain in Karond Mandi. In the morning, guard Mahendra Parihar saw smoke coming out of the factory. After this the fire brigade was informed. 6 fire brigade-tankers reached the spot from nearby fire stations including Bogda bridge, Fatehgarh.
Firefighter Pankaj Yadav told ‘The Hitavada’ gunny bags were kept in the upper part of the factory. Due to this the fire became fierce. Taking the risk, the employees entered inside and then doused the fire.
At present, the reason for the fire has been revealed to be a short circuit.
Loss of more than 10 lakhs: Thousands of gunny bags including flour, wheat, gunny bags were kept in the factory, which got burnt to ashes. A loss of more than Rs 10 lakh has been reported. There was a fear of fire in nearby factories: The danger of a massive fire spreading from the flour mill to nearby factories made everyone nervous. Due to this a large number of traders reached, who breathed a sigh of relief after the fire was extinguished.
