After incessant rainfall for two consecutive days, the rain activities have stopped in the State capital. On Wednesday also it was partly cloudy, with occasional sunshine, though scattered showers were witnessed at some places. According to weather forecasters, at present, due to the absence of any effective weather system in Madhya Pradesh, there has been a decrease in the rainfall activities. However, there is a lot of moisture present in the atmosphere. Due to this, light showers occurred at some places in the evening. On the other hand, during the last 24 hours till Wednesday it rained 14.8 mm in Satna, 12 mm in Ratlam, 4.6 mm in Sidhi, three mm in Ujjain, three mm in Narsinghpur, three mm in Dhar, two mm in Chhindwara, two mm in Datia, two mm in Jabalpur, 1.6 mm in Sagar, 1.1 mm in Gwalior, 0.8 mm in Bhopal, and 0.4 mm in Indore.

The Monsoon Trough extends from this weather system to Bay of Bengal via Kota, Bhopal, Chhattisgarh. On the other hand, a cyclone has formed in the upper part of the air in the north-east Bay of Bengal. Due to the effect of this weather system, rain may start in the districts of Rewa, Jabalpur, Shahdol divisions of eastern MP from Thursday. However, rain activities will start reducing significantly in the remaining districts of the State.
Heavy rain in Bhopal-Narmadapuram from August 27: It will only drizzle in Madhya Pradesh for the next two days. There is no chance of heavy rainfall. Heavy rains are also expected in Bhopal-Narmadapuram, drizzle will continue in the rest of the districts. However, this system will not be similar to that formed during August 20 to 22.
