3 from Singrauli drown in Ramdaha waterfall

Three of the seven persons from three families from Singrauli met a watery grave, in Ramdaha waterfall under the jurisdiction of Bharatpur police station, Korea district of Chhattisgarh. One person is critical and three others are still missing. Deceased have been identified as Himanshu Singh (18), son of Kamlesh Singh, resident of Navanagar, Nigahi, Ratnesh Singh (26), son of Yogendra Singh, resident of Jayant, Vindhya Nagar and Rishabh Singh (24), son of Anil Singh, resident of Majanmod, Navanagar in Singrauli while Sulekha Singh (22), wife of Rishabh Singh of Majanmod was rescued and her condition is reported to be stable.
Besides this, three more persons, including Shweta Singh (22), daughter of Kamlesh Singh of Nigani, Navanagar, Shraddha Singh (14), daughter of Kamlesh Singh and Abhay Singh (22), son of Yogendra Singh of Jayant in Vindhya Nagar are still missing.
The incident took place when around 16 members of three families from Majammod, Jayant Colony and Nigahi Colony went for a picnic at Ramdaha waterfall, on Sunday. They were enjoying themselves when water level of the reservoir suddenly rose and seven persons were swept away with the force of water.
Police and administrative officers along with rescue team reached the spot and started search for the missing persons with the help of State Disaster Emergency Relief Force (SDERF). Rescue team managed to rescue a girl Shraddha Singh and a woman Surekha Singh and fished out the bodies of four
men while a rigorous search operation for another missing persons was underway till the last report came in. Condition of Shraddha Singh is reported to be critical and she is undergoing treatment at the hospital. The Chhattisgarh Government had declared red alert and banned public movement near Ramdaha waterfall during monsoon season. About five months back, three men from Umaria district in Madhya Pradesh had died at the same spot due to drowning during picnic.
