A 72-year-old man died of Swine-flu from village Sahaspur, Gram Panchayat of Saja block under Bemetara district in Durg division. The elderly man was taken to the hospital due to fever and chest pain. He died on Friday night while undergoing treatment at a private hospital in Bhilai.
As per information deceased Rameshwar’s (72) was a resident of village Sahaspur. Due to fever and chest pain and difficulty in breathing, the family took him to a private hospital in Dhamdha for treatment. There the doctor advised to take the patient to Raipur. After examination at AIIMS Raipur, the doctor, in view of the serious condition of the elderly, asked to be shift to another hospital. On this, the family brought him to a private hospital in Bhilai, where the elderly died on Friday night. The health department has been alerted after this.
Later the body was brought to Sahaspur village from Bhilai on Saturday. Here the team of doctors wearing PPE kit buried the dead body under the covid protocol. Saja BMO Dr. AK Verma confirming about the death due to swine flu told that the elderly man was admitted in a serious condition in a private hospital in Bhilai. There he was undergoing treatment. On August 16, after taking a blood sample of the elderly, it was sent for examination.
On 20 August, when the test report came, the doctor had confirmed to have swine flu. A team of doctors has been sent to examine the relatives of the deceased.
The son of the deceased lives in Nashik (Maharashtra) and daughter Pune (Maharashtra). A few days ago both of them have come to their village Sahaspur. Saja BMO Dr. Verma told that at present medicines will be given to the relatives. In addition, health check-up will also be done.
