IN a district-level drive police teams carried out surprise check at various bank branches and reviewed the security measures, initiated at banking establishments.
Dr Abhishek Pallawa, Superintendent of Police (SP), Durg personally supervised the drive and directed police officials in the same context.
According to information on Monday, ahead of festive season police team carried out surprise check and thoroughly checked various security devices and alarm systems, installed at the banking establishments in the district. As part of measures police checked close circuit cameras, fire extinguishers, alarm systems and deployment of security guards at the bank branches for effectively checking the possibility of crimes. During the surprise check police officials interacted with bank officials and recorded first hand details about the security measures.
The surprise check was carried out by police at district level with the objective to curb any possibility of crime around bank branches and within its premises.
In the course of checking the police inspected proper functioning of CCTV cameras and its database.
The police also instructed the bank officials for updating all devices and other security measures for effectively checking the possibility of any security lapses. The police also interacted with persons present inside bank branches and at makeshift shops around the establishments for due verification of their purposes. As many as 300 police officials and personnel conducted surprise check at the bank branches.
Talking to media persons SP, Dr Abhishek Pallawa informed that the police carried out surprise check minutely at bank braches and issued directives regarding necessary measures to curb possibility of crimes. In the course of surprise check the police briefed the security guards, deployed at bank branches and will initiate measures for necessary training sessions in view of new developments.
