The monsoon trough is still present in the foothills of the Himalayas. However, a cyclone has formed in the upper part of the air over North-East Uttar Pradesh. Due to it’s effect, it is raining at some places in North-East Madhya Pradesh.
According to meteorologists, due to the moisture present in the atmosphere, there may be some drizzle on Thursday afternoon. Due to this, the maximum temperature is expected to drop. In the state capital Bhopal as well, there is a possibility of drizzle till evening. On the other hand, during the last 24 hours it rained 72 mm in Shivpuri, 29 mm in Gwalior, 23.8 mm in Satna, 20.6 mm in Sidhi, 13.2 mm in Rewa, 11.8 mm in Naogaon, 9.2 mm in Khargone, 7.2 mm in Datia, 7.2 mm in Betul, Indore 5.6 mm, Khajuraho four mm, Raisen 1.4 mm, and Dhar received 1.4 mm of rain.
According to information received from the Meteorological Centre, the minimum temperature of the city was recorded at 24.8 degrees Celsius on Tuesday, which was 1.4 degrees Celsius above normal. It was 1.4 degrees Celsius higher than Monday’s minimum temperature of 23.4.
On the other hand, the maximum temperature of the city was recorded at 32.8 degree Celsius on Tuesday, which was four degrees Celsius above normal. Also, it was 1.9 degrees Celsius higher than Monday’s maximum temperature of 30.9 degrees Celsius.
Ajay Shukla, a former senior meteorologist of the Meteorological Centre, said that due to continuous cloud cover, the night temperature has increased. He said that at present no effective weather system is active. At present, the monsoon trough is also extending to Southeast Bay of Bengal across Amritsar, Chandigarh, Sarangpur, Barabanki, Daltonganj, Digha. However, due to the formation of a cyclone in the upper part of the air over North-East Uttar Pradesh, there is a possibility of some intensification of rain activities in North-East Madhya Pradesh from Wednesday. A cyclone has also formed in the upper part of the air in the Bay of Bengal. Once it strengthens, the Monsoon Trough is also likely to come down once again. Due to this, rain activities will start intensifying in Madhya Pradesh from August 5.
