SP declares award on absconding accused: Hospital fire

To ensure early arrest of Dr Nishant Gupta, Sanjay Patel, Dr Suresh Patel and Senior Manager Vipin Pandey, who have been made accused in New Life Superspecialty Hospital fire, Superintendent of Police, Siddhartha Bahuguna has, on Thursday, announced a reward of Rs 10,000 on each of them. Meanwhile, police teams constituted to arrest the accused is doing intense search and raiding possible locations.
It may be noted that eight people died and five were badly injured in the fire that broke out at the Hospital, on Monday last. The police had registered a case under section 304, 308, 34 of IPC at Vijay Nagar police station and started the search for the accused Director and Proprietor Dr Nishant Gupta, Suresh Patel, Dr Sanjay Patel, Santosh Soni, Senior Manager Vipin Pandey and Assistant Manager Ram Soni.
During the search, the police on Wednesday arrested Assistant Manager Ram Soni (29), resident of Panagar and Dr Santosh Soni (36), resident Maharajpur Adhartal and sent them to jail in judicial custody. However, remaining four accused Dr Nishant Gupta, resident of Sheetalpuri Colony, Ukhri, Sanjay Patel, resident of Sheetlamai, Suresh Patel, resident of Gandhi Ward, Narsinghgarh and Senior Manager, Vipin Pandey, resident Trimurti Nagar, Gohalpur are still at large.Police teams are continuously raiding possible locations in search of the absconders but have not yet found any clue about the whereabouts of the absconders.
Hence, to arrest the accused early, SP Bahuguna, on Thursday announced a reward of Rs 10,000 on each.
