BFC pip Kaka XI to move up

ALL Ansaris found target in the penalty shoot-out as Baba Football Club (BFC), Mominpura pipped Kaka 11 Football Club, Gumgao Khapa 7-6 in their league match of Aai Kusum Sahare Memorial Football Tournament under way at Reshimbagh ground on Sunday.
With goals from Baba’s Salman Ansari (35th) and Shoaib Ansari (62nd) and Kaka’s Kishor Kathoute (17th) and Taslim Shiekh (63rd), the match ended in 2-2 stalemate at the end of regulation time.
In the penalty tie-breaker, Baba’s all five strikers — Imran Ansari, Shoaib Ansari, Sadaf Ansari, Salman Ansari and Muddabbir Ansari found the target while Sumit Choudhary, Sumit Kathoute, Kuldeep Kathoute and Kishor Kathoute scored for Kaka XI.
In a high-scoring opening match of the day, Reshimbag Football Club thumped Khalashi Line Football Club 4-1. In a fast paced first half, Reshimbag’s Aarsh Marang gave the team 1-0 lead in 5th minute of play. Three minutes later, Irfan Sheikh made it 2-0. Karan Bagde added one more in the tenth minute while Khalashi Line’s Zubin Peter reduced the margin in the same minute making it 1-3. In 30th minute, Ivan Lobo scored the last goal of the match.
Mangalwari FC pipped Pragati FC, TB Ward 1-0 riding on the all important goal scored by Abhishek Kanojiya in the 49th minute.
Star Boys FC, Ramtek edged past Chawda Mahal’s Defines Boys FC 1-0. Winners defended Vijay Admachi’s 13th minute strike. Sky FC, Mecosabagh also registered an identical 1-0 win over Shamin Trades, Mominpura. Sky’s Rohan Mishra found back of the net in 19th minute of play.
In a match that went to the wire, Shamin Traders FC, Mominpura got the better of Fortune City FC, Kamptee 4-3. Tie-breakers were pressed after a goalless match. For the winners, Zulfeqar Ansari, Huzaid Ansari, Saif Ansari and Mujahid Ansari swelled the net while for the losers, Sharique Nadeem, Azhar Sheikh and Moin Khan managed to get it past the goalkeeper.
In last league match of the day, Tribble FC, Kandri Mines also recorded a 4-3 win via penalty shoot-out over Good Will Travels FC, Mominpura. For the Mines, Vishal Kathoute, Omen Kathoute, Deepak Sonare and Anish Francis shook back of the net. For Good Will, Azhar, Washim and Sultan shot past the bartender.
