CM meets Union Minister Gadkari

Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan met Union Minister of Road Transport and Highways Nitin Gadkari at his residence in New Delhi on Saturday late evening and discussed various issues related to road transport and highways in the state. Chief Minister Chouhan requested the Central Road Infrastructure Fund to issue administrative approval for 37 works costing Rs 3,257 crore. Chief Minister Chouhan urged to approve construction works of 21 flyovers in 10 cities under Setu Bandhan Yojana to make traffic smooth in big and medium cities of the state. In the meeting, technical and financial aspects of Atal Pragati Path, Delhi-Badodara Expressway, Setu Bandhan Yojana, ropeway construction, etc. were discussed in detail.
Chief Minister Chouhan requested Union Minister Gadkari to speed up the process of land acquisition, forest, and environment-related permissions due to the modification of the road alignment of Atal Pragati Path. Chief Minister
Chouhan said that government land would be made available free of cost for the project.
Apart from this, the state government will also provide equivalent government land free of cost instead of private land. Chief Minister Chouhan informed that Delhi-Badodara Expressway is passing through important roads of Madhya Pradesh at 7 places, where a total of 475 km of four-lane road needs to be constructed for connectivity.
Chief Minister Chouhan urged to make Madhya Pradesh Road Development Corporation a construction agency for this.
