MPCC President and former Chief Minister, Kamal Nath on Sunday attacked the State Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Government alleging it had made all efforts to buy members during the Panchayat elections. He said voters have become smart today, they are not going to fall in the trap of parties like BJP.
Kamal Nath was addressing a press conference at Circuit House before participating in the oath taking ceremony of Mayor and Congress’ Corporators. He said CM Chouhan had made hollow promises of providing employment to 1 lakh youths. He said a number of key posts are lying vacant in hospitals, schools and government departments. People of all sections of the society have been forced to bear the brunt of unemployment, inflation and anarchy in
the State. The MPCC President said Congress has uprooted the 18-year long ill governance of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in Jabalpur Municipal Corporation (JMC) by winning the coveted post of Mayor.
Nath said Congress would again come in power in Madhya Pradesh after 14 months. Then it would ensure action against the Police and administrative officials, who on the dictate of BJP Government allegedly pressurized party’s candidates and members during recently held Panchayat elections.
