KHAN Football Club from Aarti Nagar and Ali Football Club representing Murti Garage started their East Zone campaigns on a winning note in the ongoing Slum Soccer Football Tournament organised by Krida Vikas Sanstha at Dipti Signal ground on Monday.

Khan FC (Aarti Nagar) defeated Farooq Nagar FC by a solitary goal in an exciting match of the day.

The all important goal came from the boot of Salim Khan who made no mistake in slotting the ball home in the 12th minute of play off a solo effort.

In the second match of the day, Ali FC (Murti Garage) defeated Anshu FC from Majri 3-2 goals on penalty shoot-out after both the teams failed to score in the regulation time. Farhan Ansari, Salim Ansari, and Mohammad Usman scored goals for the winning team. Ujvir Khan and Shahabuddin Ansari scored goals for Anshu Football Club/

In another match, Maha Youth (A) FC (Bhandewadi) edged past Bhawani FC (Pardi) 2-1 goals.

Tarachand Sahare and Harshit Ukey were the goal scorers for the winners while for Bhawani FC, Umesh Kumar managed to reduce the margin.
