TWO Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) personnel posted in Bacheli in Dantewada district are suspected to be infected by monkey pox. The CISF personnel Ram Sewak and Kuldeep Mahant have been admitted to the isolation ward in the medical college after symptoms of monkeypox were found in them.
As per information, on Sunday, both reached the hospital and their medical examination shocked doctors. The symptoms of monkeypox like rashes had emerged on their body. The doctors immediately enquired about their travel history and it was learnt that one CISF trooper had recently returned from Delhi, while the other one was in Bacheli and had not gone anywhere. Samples of both troopers have been sent to Pune for testing.
Dr Naveen Dulhani posted in Medical College said that CISF personnel have been admitted to the hospital. The rashes have emerged in their body and symptoms are like monkeypox.
He said that possibility could be that they may be infected by chicken pox or measles. However, it is a matter of relief that the rashes have not appeared on the soles of the feet and palms. Most of the rashes have been found near their chest and stomach. According to Dr Dulhani, the samples have been sent to the Pune lab for examination and the report is expected in two days. Only after reports, it will be clear whether they have monkeypox. There is no need to panic as it is curable.
