Dr Mashelkar, General Pande to grace VNIT’s convocation

Padma Vibhushan Dr Raghunath Mashelkar and Chief of Army Staff General Manoj Pande will grace the 20th convocation of Visvesaraya National Institute of Technology. The convocation will be held on Thursday, September 15, 2022 at 11.30 am. VNIT is holding its convocation on Engineers’ Day, it commemorates birth anniversary of great visionary Bharat Ratna M Visvesvaraya. This year VNIT is holding the convocation in physical mode at its renovated auditorium. Dr Mashelkar, Former Director General, Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR), will be the chief guest for this convocation. General Manoj Pande, Chief of Army Staff, Indian Army, will be the guest of honour, informed Dr Pramod Padole, Director, VNIT, to mediapersons during a press conference at VNIT on Tuesday.
 
He further said, “During this 20th convocation, VNIT shall be awarding a total of 1,375 degrees, which include 70 Doctor of Philosophy, 375 Master of Technology, 56 Master of Science, 819 Bachelor of Technology in various engineering disciplines and 55 Bachelor of Architecture. Also, this year, VNIT is felicitating students and research scholars with 47 medals and numerous awards for meritorious academic achievements.”
