Thousands of tribal people, who weren’t able to reap the benefits of the Government’s schemes while belonging to reserved castes not only received justice due to the efforts of Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel, but also got freedom from the sting of spelling errors in the caste words prevalent from years.
Through the endeavours of the Chhattisgarh Government, the Government of India issued the notification of including the castes with spelling errors in Scheduled Tribes according to the proposal.
After the fulfillment of their big demand, the people linked to these societies not only thanked the Chief Minister but also expressed their immense delight by honoring him with a garland of flowers.
Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel on Thursday reached the tribal dominant Dharamjaigarh assembly constituency in the Raigarh district under the Bhent Mulaqat programme and conducted a review meeting of officers to gain information about the implementation of schemes of the Government, and then hundreds of people from the tribal society expressed their happiness after meeting him. Due to spelling errors in caste words, the tribal people who were deprived of the benefits of many Government schemes said that now our children can benefit from the schemes. Vidyanand Sidar of Gond society said to the Chief Minister while thanking him for his efforts that he wasn’t able to reap the benefits of the schemes due to spelling errors in the words. Now he and his children can receive the benefits of the Government schemes. Bharatlal of Nagesiya society said that now his children will also be eligible for jobs. Caste certificates will be obtained easily. Madan Bhoi of the Sanvra society said that it is a matter of delight that they had been struggling for years to rectify the spelling errors and now the issue has been resolved. He congratulated the Chief Minister for solving their problem. Archana Sidar and Rath Bai of Dhanwar society said that after being considered to belong to the Scheduled Tribes, their children will now be admitted to hostels and they will be given a chance for a better future by studying well. The representative of the Pando society also expressed their gratitude to the Chief Minister and said that they had also made the Chief Minister aware of this problem. So it is a matter of relief that through the latter’s efforts this issue has been resolved.
