The visits of Tourism, Culture and Religious Trust and Endowment Minister Usha Thakur and Principal Secretary Sheo Shekhar Shukla to Thailand, Malaysia and Cambodia have started yielding positive results. In this sequence, about 30 tourists from Thailand and Vietnam, led by the famous actor and Buddhist monk Gagan Malik, who played the role of Lord Buddha and Lord Shri Ram in Ramayana, visited World Heritage the stupa of Sanchi. Additional Managing Director Tourism Board Vivek Shrotriya introduced all the tourists to the grandeur of Sanchi Stupa and the aura of Buddhism and spirituality. Le Thi Huyen, a tourist visiting India for the first time, liked Santchi very much. He said that he would like to visit Sanchi stupa next time also. Buddhist Monk Malik said that the experience of all tourists was wonderful. It has become an unforgettable moment in our life. In future also, followers of Buddhism and tourists from Southeast Asian countries will continue to come to Madhya Pradesh. It is worth mentioning that in August, Minister Thakur had promoted places of importance of Buddhism and Buddhist circuit in the State to South East Asian countries,. Along with this, tourists were also invited to visit the State. Minister Thakur along with officials of Tourism Department had attended the ‘Buddhabhoomi India-Buddha Journey in the Footsteps of Buddha’ event in Thailand. Also participated in tourism road shows in Malaysia and Cambodia.
