Dr Sharad Gadakh is new Vice-Chancellor of PDKV

Dr Sharad Gadakh has been appointed as Vice Chancellor of Dr Panjabrao Deshmukh Krishi Vidyapeeth (PDKV) here. Governer Bhagatsingh Koshyari issued the orders on Monday, informed Prof Dr Surendra Kalbande, Registrar. Dr Sharad Gadakh will be the 22nd V-C of the University.
At present, Dr Sharad Gadakh is Director of Research and Extension Education Department in Mahatma Fule Agriculture University. He has served the university for 33 years in various capacities. He undertook a number of innovative projects and activities for cultivation of futile land,organic farming, use of drone in agriculture, integrated farming model and model village, etc.
He has developed 19 varieties of different crops, has written 80 reearch papers and a number of articles. He has addressed farmers through All India Radio and television. In recognition of his dedicated services and research work, Dr Sharad Gadakh has been honoured with an international, three national and six State-level awards.
V-C Dr Gadakh has been congatulated by Prof Dr Dilip Malkhede, University Executive Body members Amol Mitkari MLC, Viplav Bajoriya MLC, former VC Dr Vilas Bhale, Director of Research Dr Vilas Kharche, Director of Extension Education Dr Dhanraj Undirwade, Director of Education Prof Dr Shamsundar Mane, Dean, of Agriculture Engineering, Dr Sudhr Wadatkar, Registrar Dr Surendra Kalbande and heads of all the departments and non-teaching staff of the university.
