CM inaugurates two more distts

Sarangarh-Bilaigarh, which has been carved out from Raigarh district, has started functioning as 30th district of Chhattisgarh on Saturday. Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel inaugurated the office of new Sarangarh-Bilaigarh district at Mangal Bhawan, Sarangarh. The two-storey building comprises 18 rooms where sitting arrangements have been made for the smooth conduct of the official works of 36 branches. This building includes 2 courtrooms, District Collector’s office and an auditorium on the ground floor.
Similarly, the newly-established building also has offices of Additional Collector, Joint Collector, Deputy Collector, and Finance Branch, Nazir, Food Branch, Land Records Branch, Revenue Records Branch, Nazul Branch, Local Election Branch, General Election Branch, Land Acquisition Branch, Grievance Branch, and Jan Darshan Branch. Baghel also laid foundation stones and dedicated various construction works worth more than Rs 500 crore.
Addressing the gathering at Khelbhatha Sarangarh, Chief Minister Baghel congratulated the people of new Sarangarh-Bilaigarh district on the occasion. Baghel further said that State Government has launched various welfare schemes to promote rural economy in State. Baghel said that there would be no dearth of fund for the development of new Sarangarh-Bilaigarh district. School Education Minister Dr Premsai Singh Tekam presided over the programme. Earlier, Chief Minister Baghel was accorded a warm welcome by the residents of new Sarangarh-Bilaigarh districts on his arrival at Sarangarh. Baghel held his road show from Government High School Maidan, Dansara to Mangal Bhawan. The people accorded floral welcome to the Chief Minister during the road show. Baghel was weighed with banana. Culture Minister Amarjeet Bhagat, MLA Chandradev Rai, MLA Uttari Ganpat Jangade, Chief Secretary Amitabh Jain, Additional Chief Secretary Subrat Sahoo, Raigarh Collector Ranu Sahu, Sarangarh-Bilaigarh Collector D Rahul Venkat, other officials, public representatives and people in large number were present.
