Chhattisgarh Cabinet has approved recruitment of 12,489 teachers for Bastar and Surguja divisions.
Talking to media persons after the Cabinet meeting, Chief Minister Baghel said that 12,489 teachers for Bastar and Surguja divisions will be recruited through Chhattisgarh Professional Examination Board. There are 6,285 assistant teachers, 5,772 teachers and 432 lecturers. It was decided to give 2 bonus marks and a maximum of 10 bonus marks for every year to guest teachers working in the schools of the Education Department, Baghel added. The Chief Minister informed that the cabinet has given its nod for organizing Chhattisgarhiya Olympics in the state in which traditional sports and games will be held and people irrespective of age and gender can participate in this sports event. Another important decision taken in the cabinet was setting up of Solar power plants on private land. An agreement will be signed between the land owner and the private consortium for 25 years. Rs 30,000 per acre have been fixed as a rent to the land through the State Electricity Board. The government land however will be provided on Rs 1 as token, Baghel added. Forest Minister Mohammad Akbar, who was also present at the press conference said that under Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav, an approval has been given by the cabinet to make a short film on the culture of Chhattisgarh and a documentary on the 75 years of independence and the making of a new India in the next 25 years. Class III and IV grade employees, who are posted in Bastar, Surguja divisions and Korba and Gaurela-Pendra-Marwahi district on divisional and district level posts, will not be transferred, merged and sent on deputation outside the division or district, Akbar added. Agriculture Minister Ravindra Choubey, who was also present at the press conference, said that the Cabinet approved the construction of new building of Krishi Bhawan at Nava Raipur. The minister also said that Consultants will be appointed for infrastructure in three new medical colleges at Korba, Mahasamund and Kanker. Under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Urban), the period of guarantee approved to the department for obtaining loans for the fulfillment of the state share was extended from March 2022 to December 2024. The Cabinet also decided to relax the validity period of one year of the selection list issued for the appointment of 43 Assistant Cartographers in the Public Works Department, Government of Chhattisgarh. In the cabinet meeting, Chhattisgarh State Hydroelectric Project (Pump Storage Based) Establishment Policy 2022 was approved to encourage investment for setting up of pump storage based hydro power projects in the state. Instead of getting the paved roads in the service bank of the irrigation canals of the Water Resources Department, the Cabinet decided to construct these roads under the head of other construction departments so that the amount of the Irrigation Department could be utilized in increasing the irrigation potential in the state. Chhattisgarh Cabinet has also approved the constitution of bifurcation of Department of Tribal and Scheduled Caste, Government of Chhattisgarh. Chief Minister Baghel said that on the demands of the people separate SC, OBC and ST Department would be constituted and the separate Directorate will be set up for the protection of the rights of people of these categories. Baghel said that the Cabinet approved a proposal to give Rs 3 lakh short term agricultural loan to the small and marginalized farmers of the state on zero per cent interest through cooperative banks.
