Four arrested for stealing iron blooms

Bhatti Police have registered a theft case against four persons including a contract worker who were involved in theft of iron blooms from the Bhilai Steel Plant (BSP).
The accused truck driver instead of delivering the iron blooms in FSNL area was unloading the same behind TND building and he was caught red handed by the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) personnel.
A contract worker who was assisting in the dumping of iron bloom in bushes was also present on the spot.
The accused have been identified as Yogendra Yadav (25), a resident of Station Maroda, Sevaram Yadav (42), Nandini Nagar, Ashok Nirmalkar (40), Jamul and Chandan Prakash Kushwaha (33), Camp-2, Bhilai. Police sources informed that on Wednesday, the CISF caught the truck driver red handed while he was unloading the iron blooms behind the MRD Building near the bushes. A truck bearing registration number CG-07 CB-0367 was also seized from the spot. Sources said that after loading the iron blooms from URM in the BSP, the truck driver was supposed to deliver it in the FSNL yard of the MRD. After being informed, a police team seized the truck and arrested the truck driver and other three persons including the contract worker. 9.960 metric tonne of iron blooms worth around Rs 2 lakh was also seized by the police. Offence under section 379, 34 of the Indian Penal Code has been registered against the accused and they were produced before the court from where they were sent to jail on judicial remand.
