A meeting of the Chhattisgarh State Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) to brainstorm over election preparations was held at Somni in Rajnandgaon district on Monday. BJP office-bearers gave presentations on several topics.
BJP State President Arun Sao put up the forewords for the meeting. Sao exhorted party leaders/workers to be prepared for the election and attacked the Congress Government over failures to deliver on promises. Sao derided Congress, saying it’s the government that snatches rights from people. He also congratulated the party workers for the successful visit of Home Minister Amit Shah.
BJP National Vice-President Dr Raman Singh, State In-charge Om Mathur, Joint In-charge Nitin Nabin, Regional Organisation General Secretary Ajay Jamwal and State General Secretary Pawan Sai also guided the party workers in their speeches. Om Mathur claimed that the Congress Government will lose in both Chhattisgarh and Rajasthan. He encouraged the party workers to pledge to bring back the BJP in Chhattisgarh. Dr Raman Singh stated BJP has the stock of many achievements of 8 years in the Union Government and 15 years in the State. BJP gave many welfare policies for poor people while Bhupesh Baghel Government doesn’t spare a chance to snatch their rights. Nitin Nabin said local MLAs are responsible for the failures of the government. He asked party workers to ask questions to local MLAs. The meeting was also attended by Bastar Division in-charge Santosh Pandey, Durg Division In-charge Bhupendra Sawanni, Bilaspur Division In-charge Kirandev, Raipur Division In-charge Saurabh Singh, Surguja Division In-charge Sanjay Shrivastava, Nilu Sharma, Anurag Singhdeo, Kedarnath Gupta, Sandip Sharma, Ranjana Sahu, Devlal Thakur, Deepak Mhaske, Nalinesh Thokne and Amit Sahu.
