Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel said that the Congress Government in Chhattisgarh has determined scale of development through the development of every individual.
Talking to mediapersons in Sihawa of Dhamtari district on Thursday, Chief Minister Baghel said that the State Government is working on malnutrition and will continue to work in bettering health sector. To boost people’s income, individual action plans have been made for each section, from which everyone gets benefited, he added.
Earlier, paddy was procured from only 15 lakh registered farmers while presently there are around 25 lakh registered farmers. This year, over 100 metric tonne paddy is being procured, Baghel added. Work on lifting paddy is also gathering momentum. Lifting of paddy from paddy procurement centres will be completed by February or March.
Rajiv Gandhi Grameen Bhoomiheen Krishi Majdoor Nyay Yojana is also providing assistance to landless families. 98 lakh quintals of cow dung have been purchased under the Godhan Nyay Yojana. Now the work of making natural paint from cow dung is also going on. A provision of Rs 1,000 crore has also been made for the upgradation of schools,

Total 3,200 crore relief has been given under the Half Bijli Bill Yojana. An announcement has been made to make 12 Devgudi and upgrade them in the Scheduled Area and 12 spots that are identified here. Members of the Rajiv Yuva Mitan club have also competed in the Chhattisgarhiya Olympics, and females in large number participated in the event, he said.
Baghel said that the State Government completed the procedure of granting a lease under the forest rights. It was also applied in urban areas, he added. On the demands of local people, the Chief Minister made announcements for Belargaon and Khisora. The Chief Minister said that training is given to teachers to improve education system in the State.
Baghel further said that the State Government is giving 50% the amount under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana. A provision of Rs 700 crore budget has been made for it and Rs 300 crore has been released. He asked the officials to publicise the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, whose houses have been completed. Baghel also informed that the State Government had approved 10 Government English Medium Colleges in the State. Women and Child Development Department Minister Anila Bhendia, MLA Lakshi Dhruv and others were also present at the press conference. Earlier, Baghel held a meeting with the officers at Sihawa. The Chief Minister instructed the officers to hold a meeting of the families of Naxal victims and make arrangements for their housing and livelihood on a priority basis. Instructions were given to exchange the land of Marar Samaj coming under the construction of the Ram Van Gaman Path. On being asked about Jal Jeevan Mission, the officials said that the administrative approval of the group water supply scheme Rudri is pending at the government level, on which instructions were given to complete it at the earliest. On being asked about the pending payment of Tendupatta beneficiaries, the Divisional Forest Officer (DFO) said that 8 cases related to insurance are pending, and instructions were given for its quick disposal. It was told in the meeting that under the Rajiv Gandhi Kisan Nyay Yojana, some farmers have complained about not receiving the assistance amount under the scheme. The departmental officer concerned replied that about 212 farmers in the district are not getting the amount. Instructions were given to resolve this problem immediately.
