People throng Rajendra Park to enjoy ‘Flower Show’

Hundreds of people kept gathering from morning till night to see the Flower Show organised at Rajendra Park GE Road Durg on Sunday by Durg Municipal Corporation. This was also the fourth year of the grand flower show.
In the grand flower show, people were very happy to see the colorful flowers of different species. On the other hand, the children displayed their art skills by carving artwork related to the environment in the drawing competition. There was a queue of children in the stall for making lamps with chalk. Here the children looked very excited by making diyas with their own hands. Song-music was also organised for the entertainment of the people in the grand flower show.
During the entire grand flower show, MLA Arun Vora, Mayor Dheeraj Bakliwal, Vice-Chairman of Chhattisgarh State Other Backward Classes Commission R N Verma, Commissioner Lokesh Chandrakar, Rajendra Sahu, Chairman Rajesh Yadav, Altap Ahmed, In-charge of Environment and Horticulture Department Satyavati Verma and others remained active. On this occasion, former MLA Pradeep Choubey, former MLA Pratima Chandrakar, Kshitij Chandrakar, MIC in-charge Deepak Sahu and a large number of city residents were present.
The models of Chhattisgarh Government’s ambitious schemes attracted visitors in the flower show. These models included Mukhyamantri Urban Slum Health Scheme, Gauthan, paint made from cow dung, Pauni Pasari Yojana, Godhan Yojana to name a few. Glimpses of Chhattisgarhi culture were also seen. Various exhibitions were organised to make the general public aware of the environment. Along with this, the stall of different types of Chhattisgarhi cuisine also attracted the people. Various shapes of flowers and fruits were attractively placed in the exhibition, which attracted the visitors. In this, vases with flowers, other shapes of flowers were scattered in an attractive manner. Slogans and other exhibitions related to Chhattisgarhi culture also attracted people’s attention. A program of folk culture was also organised at the venue itself. In this, programs related to Chhattisgarhi culture were presented by school children and artists
