Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan along with delegates from different countries who came to Bhopal in the Think-20 meeting under G-20 meeting, planted saplings of different species in the Smart Udyan (Water Vision Park). Suman Bery, Vice Chairman of NITI Aayog Delhi and Prof. Sachin Chaturvedi of Madhya Pradesh NITI Aayog were present.
CM Chouhan told the delegates from USA, Indonesia, UK, Germany, South Africa and other countries that he has been planting saplings every day since Narmada Jayanti in the year 2021. He told them that he has been planting saplings not only in Bhopal since two years, but he would begin his day with planting saplings wherever he stayed during his visits. Plantation is becoming a mass campaign in Madhya Pradesh. Ankur Portal has been set-up in Madhya Pradesh, in which citizens plant saplings on marriage anniversaries and birth anniversaries. Saplings
are also planted in the memory of departed elders of the family on their death anniversaries. People are getting connected with Ankur portal and the figure has now crossed 37 lakhs. The participants of the Water Vision (Jal Sammelan) held in Bhopal this month have also planted saplings in this garden in Shyamala Hills. People from different sections of the society come here to plant saplings, told the CM. Udyan becomes Global Garden, Bhopal has become capital of intellectuals Chouhan said that the two-day meeting of Think-20 programme being held in Bhopal under G20 is important. Thinkers and intellectuals from all over the world have come to Madhya Pradesh and Bhopal has become the capital of intellectuals.
The CM said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi is working on the principle of One Earth, One Family and One Future. Today this garden has become a global garden. Vice Chairman, NITI Aayog, Government of India, Bery said that the activities of NITI Aayog are being conducted according to the vision of the PM Modi.
