The delegates from India and abroad, who came to Bhopal to participate in the Think-20 programme of G-20, relished the dishes made of millets. Pt Khushilal Vaidya Mahavidyalaya and Ayurveda Institute of the AYUSH Department of Bhopal had set up a stall for two days at the Kushabhau Thakre Convention Centre. Stall incharge Dr Charu Bansal said that various dishes of coarse grains (millets) Ragi, Kodo, Kutki, Bajra, Cheena, Jowar were offered. The dishes were offered in the form of an Ayurveda thali. These recipes included Bajra Laddu, Kodo Kheer, Continental Salad of Barley, Barley, Jowar, Bajra (Multigrain) Porridge, Ragi Rice, Sava Veg Pulao, Bajra Tikki and roti made of 7 types of millets, Barley, Sava, Kodo, Ragi, Maize, Jowar, Bajra, bathua ka saag, coconut water, bathua buttermilk, green gram chaat, different types of chutneys and ginger, turmeric, amla pickle, ragi, shatavari biscuits, bajra, jowar, alsi biscuits and sweets of dates and dry fruits made without sugar and jaggery and syrup of hibiscus (gurhal) flowers were offered. All the dishes were relished by the foreign guests and guests who arrived from different states. All millets are very beneficial for health, many important minerals like iron, calcium, zinc, magnesium, selenium are found in large quantities in them.
