The final full dress rehearsal was held to celebrate the 74th anniversary of Republic Day in Madhya Pradesh with enthusiasm, pomp and dignity.
The main ceremony will be held at Lal Parade Ground on January 26 from 9 am. Director General of Police Sudhir Kumar Saxena, who was present at the spot, reviewed the arrangements for the parade and ceremony. State Governor Mangubhai Patel will be present as the chief guest in this.
Ramchandra Singh Kushwaha, Head Constable of 7th Battalion, who has been playing the role of chief guest for the last 18 years, acted as the symbolic chief guest and took the salute of the joint parade by hoisting the flag. After this, went around in an open jeep and inspected the parade. Amidst the fire, the police band played national anthem under the direction of Inspector Sunil Katare. A speech was also made to symbolise the message of the chief guest. Along with this, cheers were raised in honour of the President.
After the celebration fire, a joint parade took place amidst the melodious tunes of the Police Band. The parade was led by Aditya Mishra, Additional Superintendent of Police, Balaghat, IPS officer of the 2018 batch.
Deputy Superintendent of Police ATS Rahul Kumar Saiyam performed the duty of Parade to-IC. 19 contingents including Gujarat Reserve Police Force and Dog Squad participated in the joint parade.
After the joint parade, the final practice of colourful cultural programmes by the students of various schools and the Department of Culture was done. In cultural programmes, Mansarovar Public School, Subhash Utkrisht School, DPS Neelbad and a joint team of seven schools presented programs. Along with this, famous folk dances of Dhulia and Gond tribes were also practised.
