IN A disturbing turn of events, the Naxals once again attempted
to unleash a reign of terror by launching an attack on essential
road construction machinery, approximately 2 km from Bhansi
police station under restive Dantewada district, Sunday night.
Confirming the incident, a senior police official informed that
the outlaws set ablaze a total of 14 construction vehicles, comprising 4 high loaders, 4 pickups, 1 JCB, 1 crane, 1 sifter truck, 2
water tankers and 1 mixer.
These vehicles were deliberately set
ablaze at a road construction company’s camp. As per police, these vehicles were engaged in the ongoing road
construction along the Dantewada-Kirandul main route. The
Security forces have initiated search operations in the surrounding areas to apprehend the perpetrators.
