Very few artists are blessed with that magical, unparalleled brilliance to reach and resonate across generations. The fifth-day evening session of the Khasdar Sanskrutik Mahotsav 2023 witnessed a spellbinding live concert by music maestro Padma Shri Adnan Sami. Due to heavy downpour in the city yesterday, the festival’s venue was shifted to Suresh Bhat Auditorium, Reshimbagh. With limited space at the new venue, a live broadcast on social media ensured fans could still partake in the musical extravaganza. The dignitaries Vijaylakshmi Bidari, Divisional Commissioner; Vipin Itankar, District Collector; Soumya Sharma, CEO Zilla Parishad; DCP Archit Chandak; Kanchan Gadkari, President of Sanskar Bharti; Nitin Gupta, Aparna Agrawal, Tekchand Savarkar and Ashutosh Shrivastav were prominently present.
 
Adnan Sami’s charismatic stage presence and one-of-a-kind dynamic vocals have left an indelible mark on the global music landscape. Known for numerous chart-topping hits, the ace singer treated his fans with his most iconic numbers, including ‘Salaam-e-Ishq’, ‘Meri Yaad Rakhna’, ‘Kehna Mujhe Aaye Na’, Mai Sirf Tera Mehboob’, ‘Kabhi Toh Nazar Milao’, ‘Bheegi Bheegi Raaton Mein’ and ‘Sun Zara Soniye’. The audience cheered and whistled incessantly from the time Sami took over the stage and during the his jugalbandi with accompanying artists on tabla, trumpet, guitar, and drums, highlighting the maestro’s magnetic pull on his fans.
 
A mass recitation of the Shrisukta Path was held during the morning session as part of the ‘Jagar Bhakticha’ programmes. The dignitaries Pramila Medhe, Former Chief Director of Rashtra Sevika Samiti, Kanchan Gadkari, President of Sanskar Bharti, Girish Vyas, Shilpa Jog, President of Ahalya Mandir, and Svetlana Bagdia. Despite rains, the women devotees gather at the premises of Ishwar Deshmukh College of Physical Education in large numbers. Despite the challenges posed by the weather, the festival’s spirit remained undaunted, echoing the dedication of organisers, performers and attendees.
