CRICKET fever touched its peak with fans thronging the airport to welcome the India-Australia T20 international team members at Raipur on Wednesday evening. The teams arrived directly from Guwahati after the third match on Tuesday. Indian T20 team lost to Australia by 5 wickets which was Australia’s first win in this five match bilateral series. With stringent security arrangements, the fans were restricted at the periphery to check the overcrowding at the exit of the airport. Though some of the cricketing fans tried to reach the closest, but were stopped from reaching the restricted area.
 
However, the Australian team, managers and their support staff avoided the eagerly waiting photographers and hurried into the buses stationed at a distance from the gathering. The Indian team led by Surya Kumar Yadav while boarding the bus was given grand ovation by the cricket lovers. Renowned Indian cricketer VVS Laxman was also part of the team as the Manager. Meanwhile, six senior Australian players, Glen Maxwel, Steve Smith, Markus Stoinis, Josh Inglis, Sean Abbot and Adam Zampa who were part of the winning team in Guwahati have been given rest and will not be playing the match in Raipur. According to sources, Josh Philip, Ben Mcdermott and Chris Green are expected to join the team for the T20i match scheduled at Shaheed Veer Narayan Singh International Cricket Stadium, Raipur on December 1. The Indian team will be led by Shurya Kumar Yadav and the playing eleven team members will be announced ahead of the match.
