Terming ongoing Vikas Yatra of Bharatiya Janata Party as Nikas Yatra (exit journey), Senior Congress leaders, on Wednesday said people of Madhya Pradesh are opposing the Yatra across the State. Addressing a press conference, Congress MLA Tarun Bhanot, Vinay Saxena and City President Jagat Bahadur Singh said there is no district left in the State where people have not opposed Vikas Yatra. At many places people even wave black flags at BJP workers conducting the Yatra. General public is complaining the BJP leaders about lack of water supply, shortage of electricity, delay in payment of installments under Prime Minister Housing scheme, no crop insurance, deteriorated financial condition of farmers etc.
Congress leaders questioned the Shivraj Government that why it has stopped waiving farmers’ loan, Why didn’t the social security pension is not raised to Rs 1000? Why was the construction of cow shelter stopped? Why it has stopped charging Rs 100 for 100 units consumption of electricity? Congressmen asked Chief Minister, Shivraj Singh Chouhan to answer the public why he has allegedly failed to fulfill the promises he had made to the citizens of Madhya Pradesh. They said more than 150 scams have taken place during the regime of BJP Government. The State is lagging in the field of education, health, investment, employment. The government has failed to curb crime girls, women and tribal people. Despite the Chief Minister is clamming that the State is flourishing. They demanded the Chief Minister to answer all these questions.
