Sunita Baghel, a student of Soil Science Department, Jawaharlal Nehru Agriculture University (JNAU), won gold medal in Javelin Throw during 21st All India Inter-Agriculture University Sports Competition held at Choudhary Charan Singh Haryana Agriculture University at Hisar, Haryana. While Sumer Das Prajapati from Department of Plant Diseases obtained Silver Medal in 1500 meter race to bring laurel to the university.

Vice-chancellor, Dr. PK Mishra congratulated Golden Girl, Sunita Baghel and Silver medalist, Prajapati and proudly shared that the university’s students have no dearth of talent. As they made the University proud by proving their mettle at the national-level in academic, sports, cultural and other fields.

Sports Officer, Dr. Ashish Kumar Nigam informed that Sunita Baghel has highlighted the University’s banner at All India-level by winning Gold Medal in Javelin Throw. Similarly, Sumer Das Prajapati won silver medal in 1500 meter race. A 39-membered team including 11 girls and 28 boy students participated in the National Sports Competition under the guidance of Sports Officer, Dr Ashish Kumar Nigam, Dr Dharmendra Narvariya and Dr Preeti Jain.
