Grenadiers Regimental Centre geared up to train second batch of Agniveers. Induction of Agniveers in Defence services has been a breakthrough achievement in the history of Defence forces of India.
With the New Year heralding the commencement of training of the first batch of Agniveers, the initial two months have witnessed many positive indicators for a promising future. The initial impressions from the performance of the pioneer batch of Agniveers under training indicate fulfilment of expectations from Agnipath Scheme initiative of the Government of India which aimed to enhance the Overall capability of the country’s defence forces with a younger, fitter and diverse profile of soldiers. Address teething issues of concern encountered during initial implementation of Agnipath Scheme have reaped benefits and the organization has implemented ardent measures to enhance and uplift the overall standard of training of Agniveers. The training of first batch of Agniveers is in full swing and The Grenadiers Regimental Centre is more geared up to receive the proactive approach adopted to identify and second batch of Agniveers scheduled to commence training from March 1. General Officer Commanding MB Area Lt Gen MK Das, PVSM, SM**, VSM also interacted with first batch of Agniveer and motivated them to excel in all spheres of life including military life, with arrangement in place to receive and commence training. Second batch of Agniveers is expected to garner greater achievements in comparison to the pioneer batch with all efforts extended and assistance in place.
