BJP leaders exhort workers to go hi-tech to strengthen booths

Senior BJP leaders in State have asked the workers to intensify use of technology in view of upcoming elections and membership expansion work. A workshop on booth strengthening and expansion was conducted at State BJP office on Sunday. Talking about the workshop, BJP State President V D Sharma said that it has been evident from Gujarat election results that technology has once again proved vital in strengthening the party at booth level. Last year, during booth expansion programme 61,237 booths were digitised. In second phase of the programme, we will go for a booth action plan. The Prime Minister also lauded role of Panna Pramukha and Panna Samities to achieve desired results.
As per party’s statement, addressing the workshop, Sharma said, BJP is run by principles and our values and cadres are our core strength. Booth is the basic unit of our success. On the occasion, Hitanand Sharma, State, General Secretary, Murlidhar Rao, State party Incharge, and Ajay Jamwal, Regional Organisation, Secretary also pressed for maximum usage of digitalisation in organisation working. Partymen were asked to go digital and spend more and more days in field with the masses. Through application meant for organisation’s activities, workers will report to their higher ones. Shaktikendra will monitor workers activities. Jamwal said, “Organisation’s graph of success will always be upward and mainly depend on our awareness and techno friendly approach. As much as we use new media tools, we will achieve success in same proportions. In our 72 years of journey, Madhya Pradesh is the first State, where the party has received its maiden victory and formed the government.”
Highlighting the role of technology, Murlidhar Rao, said that “Technology plays a crucial role in every battle. In every war, it has proved its role as a game changer. World looks up to India as a world leader, it can be achieved through use of modern and advanced technology. We are leading in this sector. We have adopted these tools. In this battle of leadership, organisation has to play a big role. Our workers need to get connected well through these advanced tools.”
This is the second phase of the Booth expansion programme . Aiming to cross 200 seats mark in upcoming elections and at the same party is also targeting to increase its vote share. Senior leaders have already determined to raise vote share to 51%. Notably, Since last 18 years BJP has been in power in the State barring 15 months in 2018-19, when Congress had won elections and with the help of independent candidates formed the government.
