Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan said that there is no dearth of money for public welfare and development works. In the new Excise Policy, a moral ban has been imposed on consuming alcohol. Consumption of liquor in public places has been banned. This is a big step in terms of preventing accidents and social reform. He said that I see Uma Bharti as a mother, sister, daughter and a friend. I shall never disappoint Didi. Didi and I have worked together against the atrocities on mothers, sisters and daughters. The result of this is Ladli Laxmi and Mukhya Mantri Ladli Bahna Yojana.
Chief Minister Chouhan participated in his felicitation ceremony at Ravindra Bhavan for bringing excise policy in line with the respect, security and interests of Matri Shakti (mother power) of the State. In the function, Chouhan was welcomed by former Chief Minister Uma Bharti by offering Angvastra, showering flowers and presenting a congratulatory letter. The function was conducted by Mata, Beti, Bai Smriti Shikshan Samiti. Chouhan said that I have been working with Uma Didi for years. Didi works for welfare of the world. She never tolerates injustice. She is a social reformer. She is continuously working for de-addiction, protection of cows and promotion of organic farming. Her voice has presence of Saraswati.
Chouhan said that under Mukhya Mantri Ladli Bahna Yojana, Rs 1,000 per month will be transferred to the accounts of sisters. He said that I will always work on Didi’s suggestions. I have always received Didi’s blessings for good works and will continue to do so in the future. It is because of her inspiration that I have been able to do this work. Better work were conducted for the welfare of daughters and sisters. Former Chief Minister Uma Bharti said that Chouhan has done a historic work by bringing a new Excise Policy. For this she thanked the Chief Minister. She said that I am very happy with the new policy. I have self-satisfaction. The Chief Minister has fulfilled my heart’s desire.
Such excise policy is not there in any State of India. In the new policy, commendable work has been done to close ahatas. In the new policy, you cannot drive or walk on the road after drinking alcohol. This policy will create such a situation that people will be forced to give up alcohol. This policy will prove to be a milestone in maintaining the dignity of the society. Bharti said that it is a huge responsibility of people’s representatives along with the administration to implement the policy. She said that Madhya Pradesh has gone ahead of Punjab and Haryana in terms of agriculture. Organic farming will be effective for protection of mother cow.
Member of Parliament V D Sharma said that the State Government is working to move ahead on idea of Antyodaya of Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay. The new Excise Policy will pave way for social change. This work has become possible under the efficient guidance of Chief Minister Chouhan. He said that no stone is being left unturned to make the State prosperous. Ken-Betwa Link Project will prove important in development of the State. Prime Minister Modi, Chief Minister Chouhan and former Chief Minister Uma Bharti have contributed significantly in this. Chouhan inaugurated ceremony by lighting the lamp. Sisters of organising committee welcomed the guests with garlands. Ladli Laxmi sisters, women and citizens were present in large numbers.
