Tightening noose on illegal use of lease land, office-bearers of Methodist Church in India, Jabalpur have been served notice for giving justification of changing the use of above 7 acres lease land from residential to commercial purpose, on Monday. The land lease was sanctioned in the name of Methodist Church in India for residential purpose but currently a commercial cum residential complex named Dixit Pride is situated at the lease land at prime location near Taiyab Ali Square.
The Court of SDM, Ranjhi served notice in the name of Dr Manish S Gadgian, District Superintendent, Methodist Church, Ambika Charan Dixit, son of late K L Dixit, Sudha Dixit, wife of A C Dixit, residents of Narmada Road, Anil Kumar Dubey, son of R P Dubey, a resident of Mohit Heights, Napier Town, Umarani Mishra, wife of late Shambhu Prasad Mishra, native of Baihar road in Balaghat district and Dr Sujan Abraham Karam, wife of Dr Tarun Ahrawal, a resident of Avanti Bai Ward in Mandla district for remaining present at the Court of SDM Ranjhi on March 17, 2023.
Through the notice, SDM court has mentioned that earlier the notice was served to District Superintendent of Methodist Church in India, Fr Manish S Gadian for replying the notice at SDM Ranjhi Court, on February 27, 2023 but any reply could not be received on given date. Now, a team of SDM office reached the spot of lease land and put-up the notice to office-bearers of Methodist Church in India for submitting required documents of diversion of land use on March 17, 2023, otherwise necessary action will be taken into the case.
It may be noted that the first time lease of 7 acres land was sanctioned for residential purpose but its use was changed without taking any permission from the revenue department. Office-bearers of Methodist Church in India Jabalpur District will have to show the documents of changing land use.
