SSTPP sets new record of continous power generation for 100 days

Madhya Pradesh Power Generating Company’s Shri Singhaji Thermal Power Project (SSTPP), Khandwa’s 600 MW Unit-II created new record of continuous power generation for 100-days during 2022-23. Unit-II is functional since December 1, 2022 till date and generated 1124 million units with 79.5 percent Plant Load Factor (PLF). During year 2022-23, Unit-II has generated total 3396.7 million units till March 12, 2023 which is highest production since the establishment of this unit.
It is first time in the history when Shri Singhaji TPS’ Unit-II of 600 MW registered power generation for 100 days for first time since start of commercial operation on December 28, 2014. It may be noted that Madhya Pradesh Power Generating Company’s 12 units have registered continuous power generation for 100 or more days during the current financial year. Madhya Pradesh State Energy Minister, Pradumn Singh Tomar, Principal Secretary (Energy), Sanjay Dubey and Madhya Pradesh Power Generating Company, Managing Director, Manjeet Singh have applauded the best management practices being implemented by the engineers and employees for uninterrupted functioning of Unit-II at Shri Singhaji TPS and encouraged them for creating new records of quality power generation in future.
