DANISH Qureshi dazzled on the field as his excellent performance helped Mission India record a thumping win over Orange City in the JSW A Division Football Tournament being played at Nagpur District Football Association’s Suyog Nagar’s Dr Ambedkar Stadium on Tuesday.

Qureshi scored four goals including a hat-trick as Mission India crushed Orange City in pulp with a 5-0 win.

Rehan gave Mission India the lead in the 7th minute of play and then Qureshi took the centrestage scoring goals at will. He booted in his goals in 13th, 39th, 43rd and 70th minutes. In an earlier match, Baba Football Club blanked XCite Play by two goals to nil with goals coming from Imran (3rd) and Arif (57th). In another match, Baba Sporting rode on Muneeb’s double strike to beat Cradle FC 3-0. Shoail scored the opening goal for Baba Sporting in the 12th minute while Muneeb bulged the net in 39th and 59th minutes.

In Senior Division, Wasim Ahmed (39th) and Rizwan Ahmed (69th) scored a goal each as Al Aziz beat MOIL XI 2-0. Mevrick FC too registered an identical 2-0 win over Orange City with goals coming from Rautul Kumbhare (18th) and Rohit Patel (37th). In the third match of the day, Nobel FC were held to a 1-1 draw by Mecosabagh FC. Nobel surged ahead through goal from Arun Mandal in the 49th minute but Mecosabagh FC levelled two minutes later through Vijay in 51st minute.
