Class X exam begins amid tight security at centres

Class X students appeared for Hindi paper on the first day of board examination while 9 flying squads were constituted by the District Education Office to check use of unfair means by the students. Around 27,160 students are appearing in class X Board Examination being conducted by Madhya Pradesh Board of Secondary Education at 102 examination centres established throughout the district. Examination will continue till March 27, 2023. The examinees were instructed to reach the centres allotted to them by 8.30 am as none of the students were allowed to enter after 8.45 am. The students were asked to remove their shoes and belts and kept all their electronic gazattes outside their classrooms. Class X Board examination will be conducted from March 1 to 27, 2023 while that of class XII examination will be organised between March 2 and April 1, 2023. Out of 102 centres established by Board in the district, 48 centres are in urban while remaining 54 centres are in rural areas. Out of which 10 centres (05 each in urban and rural areas) are enlisted as sensitive centres, while 05 centres are categorized as reserve examination centres. Out of 14,799 students appearing for examination from 48 centres in urban areas, only 14,318 appeared to attain their Hindi paper whereas 481 remained absent. Similarly, 12098 out of total 12361 registered in rural areas, were present in the first day of examination whereas 263 were absent. Hence, overall 744 students didn’t appeared for their examination in the district on Wednesday.
