State Budget evokes mixed reactions from different sections

People from different sections of the society gave mixed responses on State Budget 2023-24 presented by Finance Minister of Madhya Pradesh, Jagdish Deora, on Wednesday.
MP Rakesh Singh
MP Rakesh Singh says, “Madhya Pradesh Government has provided benefits to farmers, youngsters, women and people from every section of the society through several schemes. Innovative schemes like Ladli Behna Yojana, special budget provision for skill development of youngsters and bringing farmers in non-defaulter category are welcome steps of the government. The budget also has provision of a big budget for infrastructure development and self-employment of youngsters to bring pace in development of the State.
 
Akhilesh Jain
BJP, State Treasurer and CA, Akhilesh Jain says, “State Finance Minister, Jagdish Deora has not imposed any new tax in the State Budget 2023-24. Adequate financial provisions for skill development, Ladli Behan Yojana, 900-kms Narmada Pragati Path, closing shop liquor bars and big relief to farmers and agriculture sector will prove beneficial for the state economy in a long term. The state budget has benefited people from all sections of the society”.

BJP District President, Prabhat Sahu says, “The State Government has presented an outstanding budget for the year 2023-24. The budget is fulfilling expectations of almost all the sectors without imposing any new tax on the residents. People from every section of the society have been given impetus in the budget while special budget provisions for women, youngsters, farmers and tribal community will improve their lifestyle. Residents are expressing gratitude to Finance Minister, Jagdish Deora for fulfilling their expectations in the budget”.

BJP, Chikitsa Prakostha, State Assistant Convenor, Dr Ashwini Trivedi says, “State Finance Minister, Jagdish Deora has presented a historic budget of the state. It will definitely bring pace in making the Madhya Pradesh self-reliant. Budget provisions for education, health, self-employment and employments and Rs 900 crore of Narmada Pragati Path, skill park in Jabalpur and other cities will develop tourism and new employment opportunities throughout the state. Budget provision for promotion of millet crops will directly benefit the farmers of tribal community in interior areas”.

Bharatiya Kisan Sangh, National Spokesman, Raghvendra Patel says, “The State Government has fulfilled the demand of Bharatiya Kisan Sangh for loan to defaulter farmers in the State Budget. The initiative of unity mall is a welcome move for promotion of organic farming. Budget of Rs 1,000 crore for Mukhya Mantri Millet Crop Scheme will prove a milestone for national campaign for promotion of millet crops. It will directly benefit the small farmers in remote and tribal areas. Bharatiya Kisan Sangh has welcomed the initiatives of the Government for giving special attention on farmers and agriculture in the state budget.

Confederation of All India Traders (CAIT), State Secretary, Deepak Sethi says, “State Finance Minister, Jagdish Deora has not imposed any new tax in the State Budget 2023-24 but he did not informed about providing relaxation in the existing taxes. The provisions for Ladli Behna Scheme, 900-kms Narmada Pragati Path and several benefits to farmers are good initiatives but business sector has been completely deprived from desired benefits in the State Budget. It seems that the Government has allured a major sector of voters during the election year. Jabalpur is also overlooked in the budget as its expectations for AIIMS in Mahakaushal region and investment for multinational companies in Jabalpur could not be fulfilled in the budget. Expectations of citizens for curtailing registry charges and electricity tariff could not seek government’s attention”.
