CITY’S talented fencer Sharvari Gosewade has been selected in the Indian team for World Junior and Cadet Fencing Championship which is going to be held at Bulgaria from April 1. Sharvari has been selected in sabre woman category for the international event.

Sharvari, a 11th standard student of Saibaba Mahavidyalaya, Parshivni, is undergoing training at Ahmedabad SAI Centre for the last four years. In 2018, she won gold medal in the SGFI School Nationals held at Manipur in the Under-14 age category. She has also won a gold medal in Sub-Junior State-level Championship held at Jalgaon.

Sharvari gives the credit of her success to parents Vishwas and Smita Gosewade, Deepak Ayalwar, Shreya Ayalwar, Sharad Ayalwar and others. President of Nagpur District Fencing Association Ajay Sontakke, Secretary Mohammad Shoeb and others congratulated her and wished her luck.
